Dong Zee
Dong has been learning and practicing immigration law since his first year in law school. He is a graduate of the U.C. Davis School of Law (King Hall), and was a member of King Hall’s outstanding Immigration Law Clinic all through out his law school career. Over the last four years, Dong has assisted numerous individuals in and around Yolo County in their efforts to become United States citizens. He has also worked with detained immigrants in both California and Texas, helping them seek relief from removal proceedings.
As an independent contractor, Dong has also specialized in crafting appellate briefs focusing on the often harsh immigration consequences of criminal convictions. Thus far in his career, Dong has litigated immigration cases before the immigration court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Besides immigration law, Dong has also worked on a variety of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, disability law, Proposition 65 compliance, trademark protection, and patent litigation.
Dong received his B.A. in philosophy with honors from University of California, Santa Cruz in 2004, and his law degree from the University of California, Davis, School of Law in 2008. He is fluent in several Chinese dialects, and has an advance working knowledge of French.
